For musicians who play to tracks

Build the set anywhere. Play it on anything.

Put together tracks, stems, clicks, lyrics, chords, PDFs and playlists in a browser on your PC or Mac, or in the Android app. Everything syncs to any device you sign in on, whenever you want it there, so the gig runs on whatever is on the music stand: tablet, phone or laptop. Lyrics and chords stay in time with the audio, and tonight's set stays on the device, so the venue Wi-Fi doesn't get a vote.

Tempo is a taste of the Android app, which also shifts key with natural-sounding formants. Everything else here works the same in the web app.

A track player. A lyrics app. A folder of PDF charts. A notes file with the set order. A phone on silent running the click. WotGig is one app that knows they're all the same song.

    01 · On this device

Pack tonight's set before you leave the house.

Your whole library lives in the cloud. The tablet only needs tonight. Every song wears a badge that says where its audio actually is, so you don't find out at the downbeat.

    LOCAL

Kept for the gig. The audio stays on this device until you say otherwise. Plays with no connection at all.

    CACHED

Played recently, so a copy is here. Works offline, but the app can clear it to free space. Fine for rehearsal, not something to rely on.

    CLOUD

In the library, not on this device. Needs a connection to play. Songs says how many tracks are in this state.

      02 · Follow

      The band reads along. Silently.

Host Follow on the device running the gig. Anyone on the same Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot scans a QR code and their screen tracks yours: the current line, the chords, pauses, the next song. They don't need to install anything, and their device makes no sound. Each player reads in their own key, so the sax sees E♭ while the guitarist sees concert with a capo.

The host runs on Android and is part of the paid plan (free accounts get it for their first 60 days). Followers connect over your local network, so use Wi-Fi you trust or your own hotspot. What's shared.

      03 · Playlists & the Stage queue

Running order, gaps and crossfades, sorted before you're on.

A playlist is a saved set. Send it to Stage and the queue becomes tonight's copy: reorder it, shuffle it, change how songs flow, and the saved playlist stays exactly as it was.

      • Per-song auto-advance. The dance-floor run rolls straight on. The ballad after the speeches waits for you.
      • Delay or crossfade. A few seconds of air between songs, or an overlap.
      • Queue next. Someone asks for a song mid-set: put it next without rebuilding anything.
      • Done markers. Finished songs get a tick across every playlist, so after a request detour you can see what you've already played.

        04 · Stems

Up to eight stems. Drop the bass when the bassist shows up.

Load a multitrack and WotGig mixes it live, on Android or in the browser: on/off, level and pan for every stem, and the click in one ear if that's how you work. The mixer below is generated in your browser so you can hear how it behaves. Your own stems work the same way in the app.

        Song output
Output: LR Slot 9 holds an optional stereo mix for older browsers. Which devices mix

Key and tempo are the Android-only part: there they apply to your recorded audio, with formant correction so a vocal still sounds like the singer. Here they're applied to a synthesiser, which is cheating, but it's honest cheating.

        05 · Loudness

One level for the whole library.

A mastered single, a rehearsal bounce and a karaoke stem pack don't arrive at the same volume. WotGig measures each track's integrated loudness (LUFS) and true peak, then sets a gain so it lands near your target without pushing past the ceiling.

        • Measured on import, or rescan the whole library when you change the target.
        • Peak-aware. If turning a quiet track up would clip, it stops at the ceiling instead.
        • Trim on Stage by up to 6 dB for one room, or save it as the song's new level.
