Pricing

Six songs free. Then about $2.50 a month.

Six songs is enough to take WotGig to a rehearsal and find out whether it suits how you work. A gig is closer to 45. Paying removes the song cap, gives the workspace 25 GB in the cloud and keeps Follow on for the band.

You pay in the Android app, through Google Play. This website has no checkout and never charges you, and neither does the browser app. Google Play shows the price in your currency, with tax where it applies.

No card. Nothing to cancel.

  • Up to 6 songs in the library. Archived songs don't count.
  • 60 days of cloud and Follow this Stage, from the day the account is created.
  • 1 GB of cloud storage for audio and PDFs.
  • 200 MB of cloud downloads for the life of the workspace. Reinstalling doesn't refill it.
  • After the 60 days, songs already on your devices keep playing.

What 25 GB holds

Work it out in your own format.

A library of stereo MP3s barely dents it. Eight-stem WAV packs fill it quickly. Set the format, the number of files per song and a typical length.

These are estimates from the bitrate. If you reach 25 GB, nothing is charged: delete, archive or compress some songs to make room.

Whose allowance

One subscription. One band library.

The allowance belongs to a workspace, not to each person in it. That keeps the maths simple for a band.

You choose the workspace

A subscription funds one workspace that you created. After subscribing on Android, you pick which one.

Members share it

Everyone in that workspace, on every device, uses the same 25 GB of storage and 25 GB of monthly downloads. They don't need their own subscription.

Joining doesn't add space

Joining someone else's band library uses their allowance. It doesn't use your own workspace's allowance, and doesn't make theirs bigger.

Downloads pause, playback doesn't

If a month's downloads run out, new cloud downloads wait for the next month. Songs already on a device keep playing.

If you stop paying

Nothing goes dark mid-set.

Cancelling is done in the Play Store, under Payments & subscriptions. This is what happens after that.

  1. Day 0 You cancel in Google Play

Subscriber features continue until the end of the period you've already paid for.

  2. End of the paid period Sixty days of grace begin

Cloud audio stays available and Follow keeps working. This is the time to download or export anything you want to keep. The workspace owner must start any subscription-end recovery within these 60 days.

  3. After 60 days The cloud keeps 6 songs and 1 GB

You choose which songs. If you don't, WotGig keeps the most recently played that fit. Other cloud files may be deleted. Titles, lyrics, chords and other details stay as placeholders. From then on, cloud downloads need a subscription, even for the six you kept.

  4. Always Your tablets aren't touched

Files on your own devices are never deleted remotely. You can still play and export them. If you subscribe again, deleted cloud files don't come back; you add them again.

Questions

The small print, in plain words.

The binding version is in the Terms of use.

Can I subscribe on the website, an iPhone or an iPad?

No. Subscriptions are sold only through Google Play in the Android app. Once you've subscribed there, the same signed-in account is a subscriber in the browser app too, including on an iPad.

Does every member of the band need to pay?

No. One subscription funds one workspace. Members use that workspace within the permissions the owner gives them, and share its storage and download allowance.

What happens when the free 60 days end?

Cloud access and Follow end, and hosted files may be removed. Songs already on your devices stay in the library and still play. Subscribing later doesn't bring deleted cloud files back.

What happens at the 25 GB limit?

Nothing is charged and there are no overage fees. Make room by deleting, archiving or compressing songs. The monthly download allowance works the same way: it stops at the limit and resets at the start of the next UTC calendar month.

Do archived songs count toward the free six?

No. Archiving moves a song out of the way without deleting it, and archived songs don't count toward the six-song limit.

How do refunds work?

Google Play handles tax, invoices, refunds and "Manage subscription". If Google refunds or cancels a purchase, paid features end when that paid time ends.

Is my music shared with anyone?

No. WotGig isn't a streaming catalogue. You bring your own files, they stay in your workspace, and you're responsible for having the rights to what you upload. See Privacy.
